Aditi Agnihotri

Founder & Executive Director

Hello and welcome! My name is Aditi Agnihotri, and I am a high school student at École Secondaire Sisler High School in Winnipeg, Canada. Driven by a passion for biomedical science and global health equity, I founded Rabies Global Support to address a critical reality: the continued loss of human life to an entirely preventable disease. This initiative stems from a deeply personal place, created out of a determination to ensure that other families do not have to endure the trauma that mine did.

My advocacy work is directly informed by my background as a STEM researcher. Specializing in computational biology, artificial intelligence, and translational medicine, my research focuses on developing innovative solutions to complex neurological and infectious disease challenges.

In 2026, I was recognized as a Canada-Wide Science Fair (CWSF) Finalist and National Bronze Medalist for my project, Computational Evaluation of nAChR and Transferrin Receptor Pathways for Human Rabies Treatment. This work involved engineering bispecific nanobodies and utilizing molecular docking and protein dynamics to evaluate receptor-targeted therapeutic delivery systems, specifically investigating treatment pathways for human rabies after symptom onset. My broader interdisciplinary research portfolio also spans award-winning projects across physics, engineering, and the social sciences.

I firmly believe that meaningful scientific and societal progress must be guided by curiosity, integrity, and a steadfast commitment to serving others. While I am early in my academic journey toward a career in medicine, Rabies Global Support is my effort to bridge science, compassion, and advocacy to make reliable information accessible and raise vital funds for global vaccination. Hi, my name is Avneet Gill, and I’m a high school student who recently became involved with Rabies Global Support. Before joining, I didn’t know much about rabies or the global impact it has, but learning about how preventable it is and how many communities still lack access to education and vaccines completely changed my perspective.

Being exposed to this issue has helped me realize how important global medical education and awareness truly are. I joined Rabies Global Support because I believe that sharing knowledge and spreading awareness can save lives, and I want to be part of creating that change.

Ekam Sidhu

Hi, my name is Ekam Sidhu, and I am a high school student with a strong interest in healthcare and biochemistry! I decided to join Rabies Global Support after learning more about how rabies affects the body at a biological level and realizing how preventable it is with proper education and vaccination.

Through my interest in biochemistry, I have come to understand how diseases work, but also how important it is that this knowledge reaches communities that do not have equal access to medical resources. Being part of Rabies Global Support allows me to connect my passion for science with meaningful impact by helping spread awareness and supporting global medical education that truly saves lives!

Hi, my name is Harveer, and I’m a high school student with a desire to make a positive impact in the world. When I learned about Rabies Global Support, I saw it as a place where I could offer support, spread awareness, and use my skills for the better. I’ve learnt that rabies brings on strong emotions like fear and anxiety, as well as lasting effects like grief and trauma. Therefore, I’m very fortunate to have education, resources and support systems that not everyone is able to have.

Many individuals facing health scares may also be dealing with limited access to reliable information, medical care, or emotional support. I believe it is important to use the opportunities and privileges I have been given to uplift others, amplify accurate knowledge, and stand beside those navigating fear or uncertainty. If I am in a position to help even one person feel more informed or less alone, then I feel a responsibility to do so.

Nicole Glean

Hello, my name is Nicole Glean, and I am a high school student with a fiery passion for learning more about the world around me! Initially, my awareness of rabies had only come from passing comments, and it never made me completely understand just how severe it was. Joining Rabies Global Support has helped expose me to its impact and deepened my desire to help others understand it as well. I want people to experience the same feeling I felt when learning about the disease.

Despite its deadly influence worldwide, there are communities with limited resources and educational opportunities to actively fight against it. I believe that sharing knowledge is one of many valuable forms of support that can save numerous lives. Through this organization, I hope our cause encourages many to share their stories, spread awareness, and develop a powerful community dedicated to the prevention and eventual elimination of this fatal disease.

Through coordinating the translation of educational resources into Spanish, I help promote rabies awareness and make reliable information accessible to broader audiences. I also co-create and present educational presentations to further inform the public about rabies prevention and safety. As a student researcher in sustainable technology and other STEM fields, I am passionate about advocating for our environment and raising awareness for important causes such as this!

I translate the educational resources about rabies into Ukrainian to spread awareness about rabies prevention.
