From Ignorance to Action

Growing up, rabies rarely crossed my mind, not out of disinterest or taboo, but because it was almost never mentioned where I live.

Although rabies wasn't on my radar as a young child, as a teen, I became more aware. Scrolling through social media one day, I came across a video of a rabid fox. With wide eyes, heavy drooling, and frantic movements, the fox almost appeared possessed. It made me realize that animals and humans are suffering and dying from a disease I knew so little about. I now understand that this widespread lack of awareness contributes to the spread of the disease. This compelled me to take action and join Rabies Global Support so that I can hopefully educate others and myself about rabies.
